I took the wife to see it last night. Keep in mind these movies tend to be pretty lighthearted, and they have progressively grown more and more out of control, but my wife and I found ourselves cracking up hysterically throughout parts that other people weren't even laughing at. Let's just say this is fantasy land now, and the characters break the fourth wall repeatedly. I'm not gonna give away any spoilers. Unless someone deliberately wants them

They've never been the most believable movies, lol.

FTFY.

I finally saw the infamous runway scene last week.  They could have taxied to berking Scotland on that runway.

I cannot turn my brain off hard enough to enjoy these movies.  For those that can, you do you.  I won't judge.

Honestly, I'm like you, but I do insist you go watch this movie for the comedic value. It had moments that were hysterical. And I'm not sure why others weren't laughing, but perhaps I was laughing so loudly (and were trying to keep it under wraps!) that I couldn't hear them. Or, possibly, they didn't get the audacity like my wife and I did. At one point a certain actor was trying to steer a particular vehicle that obviously didn't have any wheels on it, but the script was insinuating they were piloting the vehicle. Again, I won't give it away, spoilers and all.

My wife can't wait to watch it. She loves explosions and implausible stunts and quips and cars making big loud noises. Movies for her are pure escapism.

We joke that she's really an 11 year old boy, but I don't want to follow that particular train of thought too far...

Wouldn't be fun if it was believable.

I will probably watch it in 2022 when it comes onto prime or netflix. I'm not spending money on it though

I heard there was a rocket powered Fiero in it. I haven't seen any kind of Fiero in years.

That would almost be worth the price of a ticket.

I saw the title and got excited that Fortnine had put out some new content.  I was like Oh boy! I wonder who Ryan picked on this time. Sad clown face.

For the part you have just mentioned, it is worth the price of admission

I have to agree. Mostly because the only Fiero I have seen on fire was on the side of the highway.

It's a good thing to turn you brain off for and watch it for what it is. Nothing more, nothing less.

Are there any 'tuner' cars in the new movie, like in the first movies, or is it just exotics and Dom driving some insane muscle cars?

Okay, what level of dumb are we talking here? Is it F7 level dumb, with The Rock muttering "Daddy's gotta go to work" and flexing out of a cast? Because that and the property damage I accidentally did that night have become staple jokes in my friend group.

I just can't.

I can disregard the lack of toilets in "X wing fighter, I can ignore how close together stars are.

I can imagine that the action hero can jump down two levels of a falling building and not crush their spine or collapse their rib cage.

I know too much about cars to accept FF.
