I had yet another need for a 7-passenger vehicle this weekend, which got me thinking about what the fastest 7 passenger vehicle ever is. I think the old R63 AMG Mercedes was about the only seriously fast 7-seater ever. Anyone remember anything else?

Top gear had a seven seater on the track for yesterdays show. Cadillac? I can't remember. More interested in their lower priced endeavors.
EDIT: Top Gear America
I don't think the CTS-V wagon has a rear facing 3rd row. Sweet ride though. What about an RS6 Avant? They offered a rear facing seat in the 'regular' A6 so maybe? 94-96 LT1 powered Caprice wagon with lots of upgrades would top my list for this type of ride.

AKA a minivan with a scoop glued to the hood?
Hey pinch! Just glue a scoop to it!
I'm guessing the Space Shuttle. It can have up to 11 astronauts aboard.
Top Speed: 17,320 mph http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Shuttle
I was wondering about the Renault Espace F1, but they had to take out the third seat row to fit the V10 back there.
Did the E61 M5 Touring have a third seat row?
I think you're right, the MB was about the only truly fast 7 seater out there. But it sure wasn't cheap.
A lot of minivans now are no slouches. While I wouldn't call it "fast", my '06 Sedona is somethink like 265hp. It can smoke the tires pretty good, and catches a lot of sleepy sports car drivers by surprise when I need to change lanes from a stop light. And pisses the wife off too. I think a lot of minivans are now pushing that kind of hp.
Welll, how fast is "fast" anyway? The volvo I mentioned earlier would reportedly do a 5.6 second 0-60. That's enough to plaster the kids in the rear-facing seat to the hatch, I think.

V70R is what popped into my head first. You're rear passengers have to face backwards.
Does the Trailblazer SS have 3rd row seating?
If you consider the International Space Station a "vehicle" it's orbiting the Earth once every ~90 minutes at around 17,500 mph. I'm not sure of it's crew though, at least 6 according to Wiki.

Isn't the Cayenne only 5 passenger?
