The Crash Test Dummies (remember them?) put out a Christmas album. It's full of minor key / slightly discordant, laconic takes on traditional songs. My wife says it's "too weird," but I love it.

I love that song. Heard it for the first time in December 2007. Had never heard of Robert Earl. Moved to Texas a month later and realized how famous he is there. Great music.
