I am slowly working my way through my projects list and just wanted to say, man it feels good to be getting this stuff done. Even getting the smallest stuff done feels good since it gets it out of the garage and gives me more room to work on cars in here.
Here's my list of recent project victories.
- Got the A/C working in my truck again after replacing the compressor and high-side valve/port
- Welded in bracing and straighten out all the bent and broken cross bars in my 15x15 pop-up tent. It got broken about 2 years ago when it was blown around the yard by a storm.
- Cleaned up the shed and placed a lot of stuff I haven't used in a long time on Craigslist.
- Lined my tool box drawers with non-slip padding, sorted and arranged my sockets onto new holders, and weeded through all my tools to remove duplicates and tools I don't use.
So what have you guys gotten done that you're glad to have completed, big or small?
I been gettin' more things done than in the past but still falling behind. Everybody wants a piece of my time, I come last.
I'm starting to have that 'end of season/ gonna snow before ya know it' feeling I get every fall. That sucks.
I'm glad to have finally autocrossed my wagon. Needless to say, driving a full-size wagon at 10/10ths is a lot of hard work.
I got the seats in the elky. Also got a lot of work in the shop done.

I bet. When I drove the '04 GTO (which was not a light car) it was quite the workout. I haven't been to an auto-x since I sold the project E39 back at the beginning of this year.
I put in the gumbo and carrier bearing on my e 30 2 weeks ago. I bought them in 2013.....

This weeks project: Make room in the garage for the new snow blower.
-
Move air compressor from the garage to the basement. This involved moving the compressor, rerouting the electrical, and replumbing the air lines so I still had air in the basement and the garage.
-
Moving my tool box which required moving an outlet to a different spot on the wall. And that required redoing the electrical feed to the outlet from the basement.
Doesn't sound like much but it took two 6 hour days to get done.
Wait. Duplicate tools is a bad thing?

I've been chipping away at purging things, cleaning and organizing. We're going to put our house on the market soon.
This part of the process is liberating. The next few parts are going to blow.
the older I get, the "lazier" I get … and the less gets done
