That has the " larger" 650cc 2 cylinder motor and syncro gearbox that is the hot set-up for the earlier Fiat 500 .

Tom Hanks is a bit of a Fiat fanboi. A friend of mine provided a Fiat 128 for use in a Hanks film a few years ago. Hanks liked it so much he wanted to buy it. Friend did not sell him that particular car but he may have helped him find another. It's been awhile since I heard the story.
