Flew into Baltimore last night and had an $11.00 per day rental car from Enterprise Rental. It was a customer and i with over night bags that took up the trunk and back seat.
Drove 50 miles. Seemed kinda gutless and puny for a daily driver. I put 25,000-30,000 a year on a sales car and I would feel beat up in this little car. It felt like everyone was on my bumper.
I must be getting old.

From all reports, the automatic trans totally sucks the life out of this car. Before you pass judgement, try the stick.
You may be right.
Of course I am not looking for a small car right now.
Those used Crown Vic's look comfortable to me right now.

Agreed. I had an automatic rental from Enterprise last year when the cars were still pretty rare. We've had MINI's since 2003 so I'm used to small cars. It was ok, but my overall impression was "meh...". But I agree I need to drive a stick or Abarth version before passing final judgement.
I was talking to Tim at Carlisle and it seems the Abarth is a different beast entirely. He seems rather smitten with it.
