Fiat will increase it's holding in Chrysler by buying the US government's current share. The good news is that the feds are out and Fiat has confidence it can save a foundering ship.

they certainly cannot do a worse job than chrysler themselves did.

We might get some stylish cars out of it too... that are fun to drive AND frugal. Chrysler never seemed to be able to combine all three of those attributes

Hell, Chrysler rarely got two of three. But they did tend to really nail whichever one they did get on a particular car.

Imagine, four years ago, someone wanting to buy Chrysler.

I don't know if a Chrysler product has ever interested me, save the Viper. Now, I'm at least paying attention. I can't be the only one.

That is the whole point. Look at how they have improved their existing models. I think what's his name has them on the right track.

The new Chrysler vehicles DO look quite a bit better than what we were seeing before IMO. If Fiat can pull them out, more power to them.
