Space Boston. Hahahaha...

I liked Bills character.  I hope he hangs around, and based on the end of the finale, he should.

He's pretty good but I have a hard time not expecting him to mug into "Bill Burr, angry comic" at any minute.

Thanks to Clerks 2, I can't see Rosario Dawson without thinking of her complaining about mayo in her cooch.

Isn't that the movie follow-up to the firefly series? I tried firefly and couldn't get into it.

The Sci-Fi franchises summed up in a series of GIFs:

Star Trek:

Firefly:

Star Wars:

And the only "smoking hot" character in Star Wars is Aunt Beru

Ok, in all honesty, I'm 100% kidding.  There is more to a franchise than hot women.  Star Wars to me is just too full of open plot holes that get filled with plot inconsistencies by all the sequels.  I really do like the franchise, but it has just become bloated and watered down.  My first introduction to Star Wars was Return of the Jedi in theaters.  I was young, and it was the third movie, so the story kinda lost me but I was hooked.  Episodes 4-6 were enough.  I didn't need 1-3, and NOBODY needed Jar Jar Binks.

Star Trek is low-hanging fruit.  All of the TV series are kinda junk with the exact same plot... "Sensors are detecting an ominous looking spatial anomaly.  Looks totally safe.  Oh, crap, we're caught in a subspace field and being attacked by aliens.  Maybe a focused ion pulse from the main deflector dish will break us free and return us to normal space right before our shields collapse."  I still like it.

Firefly is campy, funny, and inventive, but lacks any real depth.  The Serenity movie was a brilliant way to close out the series.  I think most of its cult following (myself included) was just ticked that it got canned so quickly.  I liked the premise of it.  It was different but relatable.  Quasi-post-apocalyptic-sci-fi-meets-old-west.

Ok, here is a question: what is the best weapon out of all of them?

  • Lightsaber
  • Darksaber
  • Blaster
  • Grabthars Hammer
  • Starkiller Base
  • Death Star I
  • Deathstar II
  • Mandalorian Suit
  • An average Wookiee
  • Chewbacca

Also I can't be the only person that thinks Gina carano is a terrible actress and really hope there isn't a spin off? She's terrible at pretty much everything she brings to the screen

I did like her in Deadpool too

I mean....her acting hasn't ever been great but her physical presence is .....well.....I don't know if it's the armor but she just sorta......waddles into frame in the last few.

It's kinda hard to take that seriously for a supposed badass

Whatever Harrison Ford was using to take out Mr. Badass Waiving Sword in the Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Nagant Model 1878 Revolver

If we are wandering from Star Wars I would like to point out that Predator is a SciFi movie.

Most all the weapons in Star Wars are kind of junk.  They seem to be wildly inaccurate and seem to be both do way too much and way too little damage at the same time.

That's because you're an adult and you can see that BB8 was simply put there as marketing wank to sell more toys. Like the Porgs and Jar-Jar.

That isn't all of it.  Personally, I think Tom Servo is a better droid than BB8.

The only thing I can think of when I see her is command and conquer red alert 3. That was 12 years ago now.... Damn I made myself sad.

ACTUALLY:  the Porgs were put there because they filmed Luke's island retreat on a puffin sanctuary. They were legally obligated not to interfere with the puffins in any way. So any time there were puffins in frame during the filming, they porged over them in post.

Really?  I generally hate CGI in movies but especially for a "TV" show I thought it looked great.  The episode with Ahsoka Tano (and Michael Biehn!!) looked particularly good - like a live-action anime.  And the face of the famous actor at the end of the last episode looked totally convincing - much better than CGI Leia or Tarkin.
