I just did some repairs on my 20yo Tacoma and want to try to match the paint the best I can. NAPA can mix a custom spray can of the color, but I cannot find where the paint code is.
I checked the door jam, the glove box, and under the hood. Nada.
2003 Tacoma, kind of a tan gold...
Get the vin and call the parts dept at a Toyota dealer. They should be able to help you hopefully.
I manage an auto body supply and paint store and have access to software to find paint codes and colors. I can look first thing Monday morning when I'm back at the shop.

Thank you.
Every time you post I read it as DMXman92. Sorry.
You all got to get up in here, up in here...
In reply to preach (dudeist priest) :
Give me the vin.
im your guy.
Or... check the vin tag in the drivers door jam.
Bottom left corner c/tr: color/trim. In this case the paint code is 3R3.

Edit: Hell yeah!
4P7/FB45
I assume my color is 4P7?
EDIT2: my sticker was a tad different but now decipherable.
In reply to preach (dudeist priest) :
4P7. Mystic Gold Metallic.
I don't know who comes up with these names, but I bet they make a lot more than I do.
So much thanks.
Seeing it now I don't know how I missed it.
FWIW: Taco is a 176k mile (8800 miles a year!) 4cyl 5spd, replaced frame, 3" level kit, SS magnaflow cat back, roll-n-lock bed cover. The thing is the best. Barely broken in. I had an '83 "Pickup" 22re 5spd that went to 346k miles before it rusted away. I try to do things right when I repair this truck.
In reply to preach (dudeist priest) :
Sounds like a great truck. Don't sell it, you won't be able to replace it. It'll last forever though, so you won't have to.
In reply to barefootcyborg5000 :
I agree, but I need a tow rig. Someone will get a sweet Taco one day though.
Replacement dream is a Jeep J20 with a 12v Cummins. It's nice to dream so probably an aluminum f-150.
Just a word of caution, adjust your expectations as far as a match goes. That's going to be a really hard colour to match since it's high metallic and light and probably faded. It always tell a customer on a colour like that that I'll get you close but it won't be exact.
I used to mix a lot of colour matches spray bombs in a former life.
In reply to 1SlowVW :
Haha, yeah. I just want as close as possible I guess. The dang thing is 2 decades old complete with dents, scratches, and busted clearcoat.
Currentlt "sealed" with weld through black primer...
