Well, maybe the first...

I like how he immediately threw some aftermarket springs on it.
EDIT: Be prepared for some underwhelming "owner impressions", his third paragraph mentions that the car had too much "wheel gap" and the fourth para. discusses the cup holders... But hey, I wouldn't be driving the wheels off it before break-in either.
Yeah, his stance is all wrong. He was total 4x4 status! (pssssh - opens a can of Monster Energy drink)
In reply to Anti-stance:
I actually thought of you (well, your screen name at least, let's not get weird here) when I read that.
I'm surprised that eibach has a kit so soon.
In reply to iceracer:
I'm not. I wouldn't be surprised if they came from the dealership. Remember, this is a car that was designed for people to modify.
In reply to Derick Freese:
I think that they would be TRD springs if they came from the dealer (they showed some TRD stuff for the car already at the LA Auto show I think).
I'm not surprised Eibach has springs out because, if the springs they used to sell for B13 Sentra SE-R's are any indication, they do no ride and handling testing at all before releasing a set of springs. The B13 springs put you ~1 1/2" off the bump stops!
Holy mother of god, that thread was hard to read.
I really want to see actual autocross times with the car. I don't think that guy is the guy who is going to give us an accurate picture of anything about the car. Except for the cup holders, I trust his opinion on those.
Don't get me wrong, I would probably throw a suspension kit on it pretty quick too, but for completely different reasons than that kid.

The exterior of the car is nice, although I was not too fond of the styling initially. But, I guess after buying the car you begin to take a liking to it.
this speaks volumes for this guy's credibility as a fanboi
I'm not going to even bother reading the article. I feel like I can get a better idea of the douchebaggery that has happened from what this group is going to comment on.
Yeah, it is guys like this that will make the cars profitable though. There are a hundred of these guys for every SCCA/NASA member or GRM'er.
It will end up in a tree because AWD did not kick in
yo....
I swear I want to grab that guys car and flog it on a rallycross. A muddy rallycross.

I would wait a few months.. I would want to drive the car stock and figure out where I wanted to go from there. Not to say I would not drive it hard.. I would. I would want to see where it fell on it's face first and go from there
In reply to mad_machine:
Yeah, throwing parts at a car you haven't really driven is some poser E36 M3.
It's also poor manners. Like adding salt before tasting your meal.
In reply to mad_machine:
Very true. One thing I wish I would have done from the get go with my track car would have been to go out and do some track days with it completely stock. Would have learned more and would have gotten to see what each part did to help and how.
But, I would never buy a new car anyways.

Hey, I am all for people buying these things in mass amounts. But, I hope there are a ton of customers that buy it on a price point and don't madtyteyo-it-up on nearly every example that is sold. I don't want these to end up like 90s Hondas. Its easier to find unicorn pixie turds than a 95 Civic without altezza tail lights and a fart cannon. I would love to see these things all over the place in 10-15 years unmolested. What the world needs now are more 4 cylinder RWD cars... and not for drifters to hack up. Its already too late though, I can see the future, there are former cool cars without their front bumpers, stupid drift dolls hanging underneath the rear, and rear mufflers angled out the back.

Sadly very true. I am both relieved and surprised the drift crowd has not discovered the E36. They seem to give BMWs a wide berth

The first FRS in Alberta was wrecked by a dealer/during a test drive last week It was being toured around the province, but nobody north of Calgary got to drive it
Wow, buncha haters in here. Who cares if people like to buy these and drift them?

I'm keeping a pile of 80's/90's hondas hermetically sealed for you, and saving the gnawing, biting, breaking, hacking, burning for ford/mazda crap
Drifting into a curb into 3....... 2........ 1............
I'm surprised he did just springs and not generic made-in-china fashion coilovers.
