I have a rusty dishwasher rack on my hands. I've already tried a coating of plastidip and it appears to be coming off in spots. Any recommendations or tricks?

Order a replacement from an online appliance parts store?

I know, it's not GRM, but sometimes a new part is what you need.

We had that same problem - wife looked for rack on line and decided we need a new one.....$900 later........

That's the reason I've been just dealing with our broken-up one.  If I look at buying a new rack it'll cost me around $175 and I can't see spending that much money and still having a 20 year old dishwasher.....

We got new racks but it was still under 'warranty'.  It had a five year warranty.  It is a LG.  We contacted the manufacturer and they didn't ask for any kind of proof showing how long we have had it.  Took weeks to get them though but free is free.

I'm in the boat of not sure how old dishwasher is and don't want to fork out a few hundred bucks for new racks. I'm furloughed right now anyway so funds are at a premium.

Cut out the rest areas and welding stainless? That's what I'm considering
