I was informed by someone interested in my Prius that Carfax has the incorrect mileage posted from when I purchased the car last year. Someone transposed a number. It should list 108000 but instead has 180000!
I sent a correction request including a copy of the Vermont bill of sale paperwork and a photo of the current mileage at 125554.
Anyone have any luck changing a Carfax report quickly and easily?
I sold a truck to Kuma's dad. A little later Kuma told me that the mileage on carfax was way higher. Turns out that a place I took tires for a Challenge car scanned my Suburban plate that I had transferred. The database still had that plate linked to the old truck. I went down to the shop told them what happened and they fixed it. I also now tell them to never enter my plate number for anything I do with them.
