Hey, know what the worst car to commute in during a flash flood is?
An MG Midget. The fun part was not the two turn around becuase I couldn;t cross a 2 foot torrent, but when my wipers stopped working. I am pretty sure that the top on that car is really just a suggestion.
I am forced to consider 2 possible realities. One, that peaple who commuted in the early 70's were just tougher folks, or that they just didn't have weather this severe back then.
Given the fashion choices of the era, I just have to believe that the weather wasn't that severe.
No, they just weren't as spoiled as we are now.

Think of it this way: you're drier than you would have been on a bicycle in that weather. It's all about perspective.

I'm not convinced I wouldn't have been drier on the bike. But on the upside, the girl at the Pizza place has given it a new nickname.
