Love SRV.....don't like floods. When we lived in Amarillo, a significant flash flood went through the nearby canyon that is a state park. I remember visiting the park later and seeing trailers wrapped around trees.
Boy floods have not been an issue in San Antonio for a while since they've been in a drought for so long. My daughter just headed down to Austin for a wedding and I haven't heard from her so I'll presume it's San Antonio only.
On the radar I have seen a big band of storms sitting over there for 2 days as we hoped it would head our direction.
Ugh I hate floods. We are almost finished rebuilding our house from getting flooded 18 months ago in PA. I wish those people all the best and would love to go help if I could manage it. All of The people that help are amazing. And then you have all of the scumbags robbing and looting afterwards as well. You really get to see all the sides of how people are.
Got a friend who lifted a bunch of homes along the Missouri River. That's one way to fight a flood plane. He is currently working on making his house float.
They do the floating house thing in the Netherlands, or Sweden, or Finland... Somewhere up over there with mountains, fijords, funny accents, and hot chix...
That's why my rallycross practice was canceled. It's north of there a bit but I still would have needed a swamp buggy to make it through the course. I've done the 'fun runs' in the mud thing before. They're nor really that much fun.

As terrible as it is, the area really needs the rain, too bad it all came at once and most will be sent down river. Just checked yesterday and lake Travis west of Austin is 52 feet below full.
