My bike trainer is making loud clicking noises.
Its a Travel Trac with a Fluid AF500.
The instructions state no user serviceable parts. https://www.performancebike.com/images/performance/web/PDFs/AF500.pdf
Before I, possibly or more likely bust this thing beyond repair, any one been into these and rebuilt them successfully ? Any tips or tricks ?
Thanks
Steve

I had the shaft on mine warp when it heated up... Solution was to put less resistance between the tire and where it met the trainer. Not sure if I would call this clicking though. More of a very loud sound/vibration caused by the out of balance shaft.... So not sure if this will help much?
You sure it's the trainer and not the wheel or crank? I have rounded off a couple cranks which cause clicking as the cranks rock back and forth with the rotation. I would imagine a loose spoke or broken eyelets (?...Where the spoke meets wheel) could cause some clicking sound as well?

Thanks for the input.
Its definitely the trainer. It seems smooth when turned by hand and the tension to the wheel is automatically adjusted, its spring loaded. I put the bike on another air type trainer, this one has a screw for tension to the wheel, no noise, well no clicking but a lot of wind noise. I prefer the fluid as its a lot quieter until the clicking started and the air has very little resistance, its like riding down hill even in 10th gear.
Going to bust into it tonight to see if I can find the issue.
Thanks again
I've never heard of anyone repairing one, but the crowd that typically uses indoor trainers does surprisingly little DIY repair. Let us know how it goes. I've got a Cyclops fluid trainer in the closet but this winter has been mild enough I haven't had to use it.
