Get me a job there, and I will be. But I can't bring the house with me :(

Are the GRM subscriptions a joint thing too?
I may be interested. Might be cheaper than my commute from MD into Woodbridge every day.

MD to Woodbridge? Damn. Even here to Woodbridge isn't a great commute. (22 miles, probably 40 minutes)

Wow. This would be much better for you then. At 5am I can't imagine it taking too long to get to Woodbridge. At least you'd be going against any traffic as well.
Damn, that commute does suck. I used to do 20 mi from downtown DC to Lorton in 30 mins from front door to in the door @ work. I'm sure Fairfax would be similar.
I commuted from here to Lorton/Springfield (Newington) for a while. It was about 40 mins... at 8:30 AM in morning traffic. After/before hours it was probably 30. From here you don't have to go through FFX, you can go around. FFX parkway and 123 move pretty well during off hours.
How close to the nearest wegmans? I want to know what my commute would look like.
But I don't think my wife would go for it, either the move or being left behind instead.
How far of a drive is it from there to Canton (Baltimore) and do you have a high MPG car i can borrow for the commute?
I truly wish i could!!!!!!
Damn, Oakton is just a little too far for me to commute to Frederick, MD every day. Otherwise I'd be on this like white on rice.
I wish... Most of my mtn biking friends are in the dc area.
If only my mortgage in PA wasn't 18 months from completion... I could probably find a job down there... Only problem is I have 5 cars right now, and the GT6 needs to live in a garage, not just get worked on inside.
I want to find this post for the area that I live! I am having a hard time finding somewhere for my car addiction and me to go.... :(
Like everyone else I'd have been breaking down your door two years ago. Bummer but someone is going to be one lucky sumbitch.
Well, it appears everyone is leaving this house.
Just to gauge interest, is anyone else in NOVA looking to rent a house with a multiple car garage?
I have been looking just for a garage to rent for a while in the DC Metro area with no luck so, it may just be better to find like minded people to rent one large house.
I am an Broadcast Design Engineer with a stable job. Two of my brothers are Mechanical Engineers, one works for the Mazda Race Team as an Engineer. He was in Baltimore over the labor day weekend supporting the Star Mazda series. Wrenching and racing pretty much runs in my family.
Let me know, thanks.
Just to clarify, 2 people have moved out, 1 is about to move out.
1 bought a house I moved to NC for a new job guy #3 is also moving away for a new job
So its not like the house/company/location/etc. drove any of us away. I will certainly miss the garage and awesome location. FWIW, the last remaining tenant is an awesome guy and is a GRM member, although rarely posts.
Bash, hope you are able to work something out with some others and keep ahold of the house. It truly is an awesome place for car guys.
You'll need to log in to post.
