I got to see them open for Rush on the Roll the Bones tour(iirc) it would have probably been 1993-94. Honestly at that point in time Primus was way better than Rush & I'm definitely a bigger Rush fan.
It kinda surprises me that Les is an airplane guy though. Sure, I can see the practical use for him, but he seems more likely to have an old steam tractor or some other oddity from a bygone era.

I worked with a dude who went to that tour. Sounded epic.
Also, steam-powered airplane for Claypool?

Entwistle was a beast. Saw the Who live in Meadowlands BITD. And when talking bassists, of course gotta mention Geddy.
Of course, I only got see Rush once. But it was for the R40 tour in Tulsa.
For those who don't know, they rented the BOK center for an entire week to get everything dialed in, and then the first show of the tour was in Tulsa. It was awesome.
RIP to one of the greatest drummers of all time.
Our company's Cirrus (SR22) had the turbo motor, Recaro seats (really comfy) full Garmin glass cockpit etc. I only flew in it once, from KC to Minneapolis and back but it was really nice to fly. Our pilot did use the autopilot pretty much the whole way!
I didn't remember the joystick looking quite like that, but as I said, I only flew in it once (right chair too!)

R40 tour was all kinds of amazing. We saw it in Tampa.
(And read Geddy’s book if you haven’t already.)
