Shain, his uncle and another person were just found dead

Sounds like it could be an offroading wreck from the way they're wording it. RIP "redneck McGyver."
Sounds like a Darwin Award there...
Damn. That's a shame. I should be dead or in jail 100 times over with all the dumb E36 M3 I did when I was that age. RIP.
Sounds like a typical day up in da holler......
I watched the trailer and it doesn't seem like the world's a poorer place for it.
That may be disrespectful, but . . .
We were talking about death the other day at work and I hope that if I have to die in an accident it is a funny one, where people see it in the paper they can't help but giggle a bit. If there is funny footage to put on Youtube that would be even better.

It may not be much of a show but I can't say I'd behave any different if I lived out there.
Sounds like he and the other two in the car died from Carbon Monoxide poisoning because the car (specifically the exhaust) was stuck in the mud.
The pictures appear to be of a Bronco II. Such a sad way to go, no one deserves to die in a Bronco II, though falling asleep in one waiting for it to go somewhere wouldn't be unusual....
What? Too soon?

Wait, how is this possible? Either the engine should have shut down or it would have been the same as idling in traffic. Maybe if there was some kind of exhaust leak into the cabin?

This is WV... after leaving a bar at 3AM. There was probably a nitrous cylinder involved.
Darn, well what's next on tv.
I could care less about some redneck reality MTV stars dying in a situation they put them selves into. It being some people from eastern Kentucky/western West Virginia makes me care even less after spending time there with my exwife.
Damn. I thought I was a cold, heartless motherberkeleyer. You guys take the cake! I'm not going to try to go all moral compass on anybody, but I did like the show...mainly because that dude was a hilarious, psycho hooning motherberkeleyer...the kind of guy I'd love to see at the Challenge, toss a beer, and Hong shirt. He may not have been one of ya'll, but he definitely seemed like one of us.
And again, I did E36 M3 10X dumber than that kid did on the show when I was his age, and consider myself lucky to be alive and not incarcerated.
Police say it looks like carbon monoxide poisoning:

Still, anyone know how this can happen so I don't do the same thing? 'Cuz I've been parked/stuck in mud pits before.

Ok, maybe i'm stupid, but if the car starts smelling a little funny, and ALL THREE OF YOU start getting drowsy, maybe it's time to get the berk out of that car?
In reply to mndsm:
I'm thinking passed out drunk stuck in the mud with the engine running?

That's the only thing I can think of.

At least 2 of the 3 were probably passed out before the vehicle got stuck...not disparaging, just going with the hour & fact that they were recently at a bar. I have never seen the show, but have friends from Sissonville, WV and have live in BF nowhere.

Carbon Monoxide itself has no odor.

But car exhaust does. At least my truck does.

Thanks for that. Reminds of the true American hero that had the misfortune of dying the same day as Michael Jackson.

S'what I'm sayin- You can smell exhaust pretty good, and that's the stuff that has carbon monoxide in it.

reports say they left a bar around 3am after having several drinks to go wheeling, so its not like they were in their best decision making mindset at the time.
