What made them stop there? Who said 'screw formula 410, this one is good enough'?

Who was the panty waste chemical engineer that screwed up the formula 408 other times?

Way back at Formulas 1-34, they were actually working on a new carbonated beverage. Formula 410 became the glue for post-its.

I just wanna know why they went ahead and marketed # 409 knowing it will discolor aluminum.

40 became, of course:

So from # 35 to # 39 it went from carbonated beverage to light lubricant.

I recall watching a science channel show where they said WD-40 was developed for the navy as a lub that would hold up against water...they just used fish oil thinking fish live in water and they're not locked up so it should work and it did.

WD 40 is for water displacement/prevention of corrosion & rust and can work well as a cleaner/solvent or to unstick siezed parts, but it makes a pretty sucky lube in my experience.

This drives the ladies wild:

I agree, though--I've loved the smell of bike shops since I was a young lad.

I use Pedros Extra Dry...more like the Coolwater to the WD-40's Polo..

Reminds my stint turning wrenchs at a bike shop back in the old days when 8 speed XTR was the shizznit and disc brakes were only on motorcyles.
