A at the end of the URL is a page number, you can type in whatever page you want that way

Thanks, that dawned on me about 10 seconds after I wrote the post. I'll blame it on the craziness of the times.
One thing I'd really like here is a "go to last read post" option in threads. I don't know if it already exists, but I haven't found it if it does.
