I'm firing the X-box 360 up tonight around 8:15 PM eastern time if anybody is interested in getting your race on. Find the other thread and build yourself a Spec Mini and we can do some of that racing.

Curse you! I still need a headset. Plus, my girlfriend appears to have commandeered the TV. Oh well.

You should play anyway. Besides you're probably stronger than her.
What's the proper method of joining a specific online race? After befriending confuzion I tried without success to join via his profile. I always got the screen with the blue arrows circling the globe followed by some sort of error message which I could only accept with the A button.
I won't be able to get online tonight until at least 9 but I will try to get my spec MINI set up before then.
i will try to steal my lil bro's Xbox tonight, build one such Mini, and show you guys how to drive...
alright, so i built this Mini, where do i go now?
EDIT: Im Leeroy Jenkins.... dont ask, little bro's profile
me either, doing some testing at Laguna, what lap times should i be aiming for? Right now Im at a 1:44.8
Alright. Here's the scoop for you guys who are having trouble connecting. Rusty Rabbit, I'm not 100% sure if you are describing a connection problem to our lobbies, or if you are having a hardware issue.
But at least for Ansonivan, I can almost guarantee that your NAT settings on your router are set to "Strict". This basically means that your router is being a big stinky Bob Costas and not letting you connect. I could see you popping in and out of the lobby last night unsuccessfully.
All of you who are having trouble should first run a diagnostics test... "Test your X-Box Live Connection". I almost guarantee that you will see no problems when you do this, but I want to know what your NAT settings are. It's the last test that it will run, I think. If it's set to strict, try plugging your x-box directly into your modem. I bet this happens with other games too, right?
In fact, just for good measure, plug your X-Box directly into your modem anyway and try again. If this works, buy a new router. Then submerge your old router in liquid Nitrogen and then hit it with a hammer. (OK, you might be able to change this setting by going into your router's settings by typing in the ip address of the router in the address bar of an internet browser. I prefer the first method, though, because your router shouldn't limit your access to the internet to begin with.)
I sent a bunch of friend requests to folks, but I'm still unclear as to how to join the game. Just let me know!
I gotta get my own box. I keep missing the races because the roomie's playing something.
And did any of you guys get the FR from my new gamertag yet? I haven't been able to get on to check.
EDIT: Aw, geez...I'm an idiot. The whole reason I started a new profile was because I didn't want to do the "snake" racetracks again..if I bought a new box, is there any way to move a profile from one machine to another?

Search for a couple products called xport and xsata. Both allow you to back up your 360 hdd, one is a dock that you insert the hdd into, the other is a pass thru device that sits between the hdd and the 360.
I got an xport for 46 bucks or so. I can't vouch for it yet, cause I haven't had a chance to use it. It's worth noting that some people say that the software it comes with is crap, and you should download some other free software for your pc.
