I found a miata for sale and I am going to go buy it or not tonight. It is a 99 with 160k on it. Sounds like it has been kept in pretty good condition the current owner has had it for 4 years and it is $3k.

I paid $2500 for my '91 and I'm still spending money on it

99 is one of the better years.
I would probably buy that sight unseen.
I've got a '99 with accident damage. If it was the right color, I'd consider a $3,000 '99 just for the replacement parts.
That's a little less than I'm asking for my '96, but mine isn't stock and has less miles.

has a few issues that need to be cleared up but not too bad, needs a good going over.
What issues does it have? Hard to go wrong at that price.

seals and tb service
new window regulators, although i am thinking of doing a manual window conversion
something is going on with the clutch, i was in 1st with clutch depressed at a stop light waiting and 1st gear engaged while i had the clutch depressed assuming that is a master cylinder and/or slave issue
might need some suspension work, well i hope it does so i can get FM 2.5
Slave cylinders are a common point of failure. I'm a bit jealous, I kind of want an NB.
$3000 with hardtop? Damn, you hit the jackpot on that one. Deal of the decade.
