In case you don't get the design direction
I heard that Jaguar was doing a rebrand recently and thought "meh" and didn't look into it...now that I've seen it, well it's surprising and attention-getting, but I'm not sure it's in a good way
Honestly there aren't a lot of Jags past or present I would buy even if I had the money. Most of their cars are "okay" IMO and the only ones I'd seriously like to own are their top-end supercars or concepts like the XJ220 and C-X75. So I'm not really bothered by them doing something completely different like I was when Lotus almost ditched all their lightweight sports cars and became a luxury brand all those years ago. But from that ad...yeah that car is along the lines of what I might expect them to put out next.
If they make some wacky angular '70s/'80s-ish designs with crazy colors that could be interesting...still nothing that would make me want to own one of their cars, but there is a market for it. Look how many people want Cybertrucks even though they're poorly-built breakdown machines.
How can I say this without going off the rails and getting this thread shut down? Never mind. I'll hold my thoughts. Jaguar, it was nice knowing you. (Insider tip: keep an ICE in the product mix for your own good).
Ok, I'll go there... I'm not advocating for the return of Frenchy, but I'd imagine his reaction to be something to behold.
(He might need some emotional support)
Good news, their next cars will actually look like this:
The only hint of the avant-garde wackiness is in the colors.
That can't be real. Those are rudimentary childish renderings. No way a trained car designer did that.
Even the proportions are off. Horrible
Pretty much done by the same creten that did this abomination. Where did they go to design school? Or, who are the people directing the designers to design this crap?
And what the heck is that treatment on the butt-end? A radiator for an EV? And is that the moon? Jag, it was nice to know you.
