For the political TV adds to start.
Actually, I listen to my own music instead of radio, and virtually everything I watch on TV is DVR'd, so I only have to watch the ads fly by. The tricky part is hitting the "play" button again with precision timing so that I don't accidentally have to listen to the end of one of the political ads.
I'll just be happy when my YouTube on my tv goes back to movie trailers and Amazon product ads. The sides have evened it over the last month, but every single ad has been for one of the two runners since freaking August.
$300 bounty if you can make an ad blocker for my vizio smart tv.

In reply to Jay:
It's yahoo firmware. Far as I can find, root access is as impossible as on my new cell phone.
Unless there a way to embed a host file on my router.... To the Google's!!
It's right up at the top of the remote.

If it's Android-based, you can has root. Unless it's been updated in the last week or so.

That sounds awesome. I just don't know if you said the equivalent of ‘do a driveway oil change’ or the equivalent of 'Machine your own v12 block from a billet of aluminum and cut and weld LSx heads to fit with nothing more than a hand drill, sandpaper and JB weld and make it take 20 psi of boost'

It's about the equivalent of "pull the fuse on your OnStar system"
