We went, too. Our local Ghostbusters unit was there in full force: ECTO-1, full uniforms, etc.
The reality of visiting, though: I have a ton of books here that I need to read.
Oh, yeah, free plug: Cloak & Dagger in Ormond Beach, Fla. Nice people.
I'll see if they have leftovers tomorrow.
Free Comicbook Day combined with Star Wars Day makes my local store a madhouse.
If you missed Free Comic Book Day, your local shop might have some leftovers. However, the free Initial D comic is essentially an excerpt from the 400-page omnibus available now. According to the ad in the free version, they'll be releasing two omnibuses worth of Initial D material. That's 800 pages.
Surprisingly, the listed price for Omnibus I is just $22.99.
In reply to J.A. Ackley :
They used to sell Initial D books (in right to left format, but in English) at Radio Shack of all places.
At least, that's what I remember. I was gifted the first six volumes.

I didn't know about an omnibus release. Reviews are most people complaining about the thin paper used, but it's $23 for 400+ pages.
This is also a new translation. People don't know how good they have it now. When TokyoPop translated it in the early 2000s they tried to Americanize the characters' names and the slang.
I had the early translation, at 10 bucks a book it was expensive! Took a huge loss when I sold them years later.

And the Americanized names managed to be more cringey than the non-car-guy fan-subtitled anime. The description of what happened when he blew the engine was hilariously bad.

Yeah, we were a bit busy. I know of a couple comic book stores that we had events with, I did one in 2019. But I had other plans this year, kinda wish I could have snagged this comic.
