Is it bad that my best MPG for a road vehicle is an RX-8?

That is all.

My best currently is a '98 Ranger, at ~27mpg highway.

The only other runner is the Chevy, and it MIGHT break into the double-digits on a good day.

The VW got high 20's until the engine gave up. Swapping in a Scooby motor soon, expect 30+ mpg once that's complete.

My 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 usually shows around 7 on the overhead display. Its the most fuel efficiant vehicle I own.

I park my Prius next to my F-250 diesel. I like to keep the neighbors guessing.

Sounds pretty bad to me, but it depends on how much you drive it and it's your money.

20 from the Dakota.
15-18 from the Avalanche.
20-26 from the Impala.
18 from the diesel F250.

The top three kill me. Wish I had a 30-er up there instead of the Dakota.

We cover a pretty wide range. Top of the list is the wife's 2011 Hyunda Sonata 2.0T with 34 mpg. Next is the Mazda MPV, around 24 mpg. Chevy C-30 Dooley gets right around 10 mpg. Modded FC RX-7 Turbo probably gets a bit less than that.

What was it? The best I've done in mine is 22 mpg on a road trip with a 30mph tailwind.

I had a motorcycle that got single digit gas mileage figures.

But the fun factor made it worthwhile!

My '91 sho gets 4mpg better than my '01 focus(it gets 25ish) does down the interstate......about the same sanely driving around town. Get rowdy with the sho and it'll net you a 6mpg tank in a hurry.

RX-8 R3 is getting between 16 and 19 mixed driving.

F150 (5.0, 5spd. manual) is getting between 12 and 14.5 so far.

I'm so used to the ~50mpg the TDI gets that anything less is painful. I used to complain when I had to drive our MINI convertible a lot because it "only" got 34 mpg. Unfortunately, the TDI hit 300K miles on Weds so it's off the road until I do the timing belt... which has me in the diesel truck (19-21 mpg) until I can dig the E30 (24 mpg) out of the back yard, give it a valve adjustment and swap out the Star Specs.

That sounds low to me. My old E150 with a 5.0 AOD would get 16-18 depending on how much hwy driving I was doing. Granted, maybe the van was geared taller...

Ok, that makes more sense. My old '78 F150 w/ a 351M 4 spd would get 10 mpg hwy. That was before I put a 6" lift and 36" Swampers on it. Well into single digits after that.

My wife's Prius gets 46 MPG when she drives and almost 50 when I drive it. My Civic gets about 35 in mixed city/highway driving. The Miata gets about 30.
