Whooptie and the tow rig
Ran when parked
Nox emissions
Clutch kickers
Four barrel and the fuel pumps
Four on the floor
Basket case
No lowballing (I know what I have)

That would be great for a blues-rock band, especially if you've got 4 members. Those who know will get it. Those who don't will think it's something to do with a shotgun or maybe just wooden barrels.
Lots of good ideas here!
My favorites so far are Four Barrel, Flat Tappet, and The Late Brakers, or some combination of all three
The drummer suggested The Mark VIIs, that's pretty good too.

That's already a fairly well know international band.
So I guess it's The Late Four Barrel Tappet Breakers?
Muncie Overdrive?
The Grand Gear?
Top Tour?
Nevermind the Clarksons?
Eau Rouge and the Vaporware Infinitis?
Brown Diesel Station Wagon?
Front Straight and the Blue Flags?
Delahayes
Studebakers
Excalibers
Stutz Blackhawks
Toronados
Wartburgs
Bentleys
Jimmie and the Twins (trio)
There's a Triumph-themed band called the Spinal Tappets. http://snic-braaapp.org/index.php/spinal-tappets
I personally have played with King Clef and the Semitones, and saw Fix-It Bob and the Toolkit beat Alanis Morrisette in a high school talent show.
I vote for 3/4 Race Cam.
If you can find a copy of the original Rock Band game it has a fantastic band name generator, which yielded my favorite name ever:
One Hundred Ninety Seven and a Half Square Feet of Towel
I think that if you want an automotive theme you should just pick a vehicle that your music would sound appropriate in, the more obscure the better.
