After our regular ice races , we plowed a near 1 mile straight and ran some speed runs timed by radar. The ice was kind of bumpy but not rough. My 2013 Fiesta (not an ST) with the Powershift transmission did 92 mph. No I don't race the Fiesta but the need for speed pops up once in awhile.
That sounds like fun. I think it would also be cool to set up a single cone at the end and do timed runs out and back.

We did that as a goofy lunchtime thing at rallycross. Straight out, pivot cone, straight back. No corner workers needed. Everyone line up and go, one attempt, counted toward the days total time. It was fun.

I remember the last time you raced on the ice, you said "that sounds like fun". In the aftermath you ended up buying the truck.
