Anyone up for composing some haiku inspired by project cars? Here's one to get things started:
Crack in engine block
Pull the old three fifty out
New power beckons
Note: Putting it in preformat tags, like this: <pre>haiku</pre> will let it show up like a paragraph. Or it should - now it doesn't seem to be working.
Rust lurks under paint
Bondo hiding many sins
Pretend it's not there...
"Why do you do this?"
He asked, incredulously.
"I don't know," I said.
I can spend thousands
Making my car go slower.
Curse you, evil PAX.
Rusty bolt stuck fast
Fist smacks sheet steel when wrench slips
Where did I throw it?
Downshift into third.
Revs perfectly matched to speed.
No one can beat me.
Grassroots motorsports.
Has changed my life forever.
No I'm always broke.
Engine hoist sinks through asphalt
I fumble to overcome the cracking pebbles
The anchored come-along wins again
Brand new impact wrench
Makes easy work of bolts
Don't use on oil plug
Rebuilt the engine
Everything torqued to spec
Five left over bolts
A little socket
Fell and rolled out just out of reach
Just like the last one
