"GRM is easier than Google", so here we go.
PO stuck one of those large horrible "Corvette" stickers across the top of the windscreen on the 'vette. Normally I'd just heat it with a hairdryer and try to pull it off but I have to work in the parking lot of our apartment complex and have no power there.
So, can anybody recommend a good way to get off the sticker and the gunk that it'll leave behind, preferably without using chemicals that would melt the 'vettes bodywork?
Easiest: Insurance and a rock.
Option 2: Razor blade and acetone.
razor scraper, or floss if there's a loose end you can get under, then adhesive remover to get what's left behind off.
spray bottle soapy water razor blades ,,,,,,, inthe shade glass scratches easily in direct sun
Razor blade and PB Blaster for the goo. Works every time.
Option 1: razor blade and windex...
Option 2: really long extension cord
Option 3: go to a friend's house.
Nobody's suggested shotgun? Or fire?
I use this citrus based degreaser called Orange Peelz. Knocks out that annoying adhesive residue and leave it smelling like OJ.
WD40 can be very good at loosening adhesive also. Razor blade will be your primary weapon of course...
I thought most of those horrible things were just peel and stick? Wait for a hot day and see if you can get a fingernail under a corner and start peeling
