Trying to come up with a list of cool things for racers and fabricators available for less than $100. What would you ask for? Please provide links. This can serve as a resource for our family members when they say "What do you want for (insert holiday here)?"
I'll start and add as I find more goodies:
Fluid Lubricant Pump for Gallon Container
Knipex 002007US1 3-Piece Alligator Pliers Set
Gearwrench Gimbal ratchet
SK 5 Piece Plier Set
SK SuperKrome 6-Point 9-Millimeter to 21-Millimeter 15-Degree Offset Flare Nut Wrench Set
GearWrench 7 Piece Flex-Head Combination Ratcheting Wrench Set
I've tried those pumps. Pass.
that gimbal ratchet looks awesome.
what, exactly, is the problem that they were trying to solve with that ratchet?
i saw an ad on tv for the new Kobalt gearless ratchet from Lowes and thought it looked pretty useful for something that was in a commercial aimed squarely at clueless wives and girlfriends that don't know what to get the man in their lives for Xmas..
Three posts and none of them adding anything to the list...
Gift cards?
Other than that I have no clue since I'm apparently way more expensive than that.
A bunch of 10mm wrenches?

even better, a pile of 11mm and 12mm wrenches, with a few 16mm thrown in for good measure.
Love all the suggestions. Keep them up.
Bought one of these earlier this year. Great for oil changes. I got the compressor-driven one which comes with an adapter to do brakes. The one below has a hand pump.
Mityvac 7201
Got these for the stepson that does dirt track racing. I could use a set myself:

Buying both will push the budget, but I would not want to go back to not having these when doing sheetmetal stuff.

As a fabricator/welder, I'm always in need of a good drill - both 3/8" and 1/2". I prefer elecric most of the time, but some situations an air drill is good enough. I've been using DeWalt stuff for the past few years with no complaints. Air tools, cutters, nibblers, grinders, etc. $100 at Harbor freight gets me a whole bunch of stuff from the air tool section. A good selection of carbide burrs is always helpful. Here, you definitely get what you pay for. Cheap stuff wears out fast, but if do mostly aluminum, it's fine. I'm always using hole saws as well, so it pays to have a good selection of those. Tap & Die sets are a necessity, both metric and sae.
Great deal on a 1/2" 25-250lb/ft torque wrench. You get an extra $10 off right now too, making it just over $40. Just got one of these myself.

Craftsmans Cross Force Wrenches
They are a smidge over your price range, but you can buy individual common ones. Wife bought me these for the most common kart sizes (10mm,13mm,17mm) and i won't use anything else. Yeah, it seems gimmicky, but being able to put force on a flat surface just feels much better.

18mm and 20mm wrench and/or sockets. Most kits don't have these sizes.

Where do you get the good ones?
Amazon link for $31 and change
Titan gearless ratchet set - about $40. These ratchets are completely gearless, they work on a cam principle... operates with the smallest amount of room
