Giving props?

I had a cool wave experience a couple of weeks ago. I was in a 911 Carrera 4S press car, when I spied a mint vintage VW van. There was a hippy looking young guy driving - he finally noticed me giving him the thumbs up from alongside, and broke into a huge grin, returning the thumbs up. Made my day.

Around here, there's a lot of nice vintage American iron. I always give thumbs up, but a lot of the time, the guy seems confused by an import guy liking his car. It's even stranger in person (gas stations, parking lots, etc.). They seem surprised that I even know what their car is. It's even worse now that I drive a Honda product.

I always wave at jk owners. The oftentimes wave back. More so know than when I had my first wrangle a few years back. I think that is how it is with any new model. NC miatas didn't wave at first, but now most of them do.

We have a new Wrangler. Honestly the wave kind of got old when I had my 87 wrangler, then when I got my 99 Cherokee none of the eliteist wrangler owners waved at me anymore, so when we got the new one I said berkeley it.... Between the bikes, Porsches, and Jeeps waving all the time can get a little old to be honest. edit: I should add that I'm not a very social person anyway.

I used to "wink" the pop ups at other RX-7s back in the day. I got about a 50% wink rate back.
