So, I have to work from home today. Glad I did as this happened this morning.
A semi somehow hit a pedestrian bridge over Southfield freeway which collapsed, closing the freeway in both directions. How do you hit a bridge between two other bridges.

It looks like one news source says it was a car hauler and another said it was a waste hauler. There was mention of the load lifting without the driver knowing it, so unless "waste hauler" is some sort of Detroit slang for a car hauler with furrin' cars on it I'd guess it was one of those dump trailer things or something.
Wow that is wild. I miss the mitten sometimes.

All my local news feeds are talking about is that Matt Stafford got caught in that traffic. Yes, the Lions QB getting into a traffic jam is headline news. 
It may have started the trip as a car hauler, but it certainly finished it as a waste hauler.
There is no joy on Joy road today.
