Oh God, it's beautiful. There's a tear in Jerry Jones' beer.

9 League championships bud.

721> then whatever the Packers have.
Anyway I think we can all agree the NFC North is the best division in the history of the NFL.
One more tidbit to ad to the luck article...kimo von oelhoffen vs anterior cruciate ligament, medial collateral ligament, and posterior cruciate ligament = ring. Seriously.
Just one more reason to hate them!
Worst part is Kimo was drafted by the Bengals and with them from '94-'99 before this happened in '05.

That is a very board statement. I mean I almost guarantee that there is some sport out there that some teams do better in the playoffs. It just might not be a common sport and for that matter not all sports even have a normally post season
pinchvalve wrote: Speaking of America's Team, does it bother anyone else that the Superbowl Champions (say for example, the only 6-time winners the Pittsburgh Steelers) are called the "World Champions"? Did anyone notice any teams from Russia, China, or even Canada or Mexico in the competition? Me neither.
My dad always says this to me whenever we are watching sports together.
What really sucks here is that my favorite team, The New England Patriots (yep, I'm a Pats fan!!!) beat BOTH of these teams in the regular season, and they aren't in the big game. WTF.
They were amazing before that, and getting amazinger. That play produced 60+ yards of offense, a preview of the game that was to come...until Kimo von illbreakyiurlegoften decided to play dirty. You wouldve lost that wildcard game. Plain and simple. Its ok to admit when youre lucky, it would just be nice if you would.

Or Northwestern Womens Lacrosse. I don't know the stats, but they are damn good.

IOWA Wrestling:
23 National Championships since 1975, including 9-in-a-row
21 Consecutive BIG10 Championships
32 Total Conference Championships
/end other sports domination ideas.
Lets get back to football!

Fine. Its come to this:
I gotta say, I love being a fair weathered Bears/Packers fan. Didn't think it was possible, did it? I'm expecting to spontaneously combust any second now.
All I needed to know about either city I learned yesterday. Apparently they are the only two cities in the NFL that don't have a dozen fairly attractive women.
Wally wrote: All I needed to know about either city I learned yesterday. Apparently they are the only two cities in the NFL that don't have a dozen fairly attractive women. No cheerleaders in Dallas
No...there are two cites that have football franchises that have proud, winning traditions, each with a rabid fanbase that does not need a high school-like side show to put fans in the stands.
Yeah she is a BIG Steelers fan.
...and I can tell myself this--Lambeau has the famous Bikini Girls--any weather...let's see your so-called cheerleaders lookin like this when its 20* out...
...and FWIW, the Packers do have on-field cheerleaders as well--they have the squad from UWGB cheer at home games, but because they are not part of the Packer organization, they did not make the trip to Dallas.
These are cheerleaders, unlike most NFL squads which are pom-pon girls.
You can be a hater all you want, but the Packers are the most storied team in the whole NFL. More Championships than anyone. Ever try getting a ticket to a home game in GB? Every game, including pre season,is a sellout...since 1960. The waiting list for season tickets is like 30 years...and anyone who has been there will say that it is the best place in the NFL to experience a football game. The team is owned by the city--so there is no fear that the Packers can move in the middle of the night...the Packers will always be in Green Bay. Its the only franchise in professional sports that is set up this way. Green Bay and Wisconsin can call the Packers 'our team' because it really is. Wisconsin is a football crazy place, and there is not a more supportive fan base anywhere. So when we support the team, we are not supporting some egocentric owner like Jerry Jones or Dan Snyder...
I have nothing against the Steelers. They just are not my team. The Rooney family has been good for them, their city and the NFL. They have a tradition too--it happens to be more rooted in the last 40 years...that is fine.
Quite honestly, this matchup makes for the most historically significant one possible...and it will be fun come tomorrow.
