VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - A high powered sports car slammed into the VanCity Credit Union branch on Victoria Drive near 40th Avenue this afternoon. The driver was slightly injured but amazingly nobody was hit by the out of control car. Police say speed is a factor in the accident.
One man told News1130 the car stopped right behind him and a police officer told him he's lucky to be alive.
The Nissan GTR remained wedged in the front of the building, over a small flight of stairs, with its front end resting in some bank machines before being towed away.
A woman waiting at a crosswalk says she was just inches away, and had to jump back, when the car came careening into the credit union’s front entrance.
Damage to the building is extensive.

thought it would just be a matter of time before we saw this happening
Maybe it was trying to go home.

mmm free front lip and undertray!
I wonder how many of these wrecked GTR stories we are going to get? Spoiled rich kids talking their parents into buying them a car they can't handle because their parents aren't aware what it really is. "Its not like we bought him a Porsche or anything its just a Nissan..."

Both of which are smashed to pieces by its trip up the stairs...
Money != brains or talent.

Damage to the car is expensive.
What to do with a ZOMG-zilla?
PIITB (bank)?
History shows again and again how nature points out the folly of men
Thus proving my theory that the speed of ignorance can not out run the laws of physics.
He just wanted to withdraw some money to pay for his replacement wheels

Maybe he was just a very philosophical police officer. If I were a cop, I'd tell everyone that. Including reporters. Some people would take it as a threat, some would take it as a tragedy averted, most would just look worried and try to figure out how to get away.
Then I'd try it wrapped in an orange robe and handing out flowers.
I'm sorry, what were we talking about? You're lucky to be alive.

Is that Johnny Tran?

That's awesome...I don't know where it came from, but it's awesome.

Just because you can BUY a GTR, doesn't mean you can DRIVE a GTR

My Chinese buddy would give the kid E36 M3, for "reinforcing a steriotype"

Hey 4eyes,
I saw a GTR that looked just like the one above on 15th street at 71B on Monday. First one I've seen. I PM'ed you back, and I've sent you an email. Dunno if you're getting them.
the only one I have seen so far is still on the dealers lot. Now it is just a matter of weather it gets a Cornell or an Ithaca Collage sticker.
I saw one up at VIR this past Sunday. Looks smaller in real life. Better, too.

Doc, e-mails read and returned. All is good
The loan dude from when we bought our daughters Mazda 3, was the loan supervisor at the Nissan place too. He said they were alocated two, and both were sold for 100g's before they got them.
