OK, I know some of you are college students going back to school. And if you're like my students, you hate the cost of textbooks. Me too.
Anyway, this is just an FYI: You may be able to get a federal tax credit for textbook purchases (unless you have a scholarship that is already paying for them). You can get up to $2500 covered with this program.

Note: One of our administrators thought that the books must be purchased at the local college bookstore (and not, for example, at amazon.com). I didn't see that in the link, but you may want to check into that more carefully.
