A good rule of thumb with hearing protection is, if you have ringing in your ears after whatever loud thing you are around, you need better protection.
And this maybe true or not but there is an idea that ringing is the range of tonal hearing/sound you will never hear again. If it is true or not doesn't really matter, but it always freaks me out enough to protect my ears better.
its also how you put them in your ear ,
I get them wet , roll them between my fingers , then put it in my ear and hold it until it expands ,
I also like the ones with the "wire" between them because then other people know you are using earplugs and not just ignoring them :)

This is an old thread and the last posts were almost a year ago but I just want to tell you to check [Dumbo Ears] out. They got [great canoes] and I'm loving my new [paddles (they float!).]

You're pretty convincing in your presentation; I checked your other posts. Are you sure you're not a canoe, albeit a well-devised one?
