For sending these folks to Florida where they will fit right in

http://www.abc-7.com/story/19190863/3-arrested-after-children-and-adults-found-in-locked-u-haul-truck

Knox County, Tennessee deputies arrested three people after they found five adults and two children locked in the back of their U-Haul truck Thursday afternoon.

According to deputies, a 911 caller told them they saw two children being beaten and then thrown into the back of a U-Haul truck at the Wal-Mart on Walker Springs Road.

Deputies spotted the truck and pulled it over just west of Watt Road at around 1 p.m.

Deputies say there were three men in the front seat and two children, four men and a woman in the back of the locked truck.

The truck was filled with furniture and there was no ventilation, deputies say.

The people inside were sitting on dressers and tables.

The parents of the children were in a separate car and pulled over when officers stopped the truck.

Deputies say the group gave conflicting stories, but all the people claim to be related.

They said they were moving from Steubenville, Ohio to Fort Myers, Florida. All said they were from Steubenville except one man who was from Wheeling, West Virginia.

Twenty-five year old Rocky Ewing, who was driving the truck, is charged with 7 counts of reckless endangerment.

The parents of the two children, 30 year old Joshuwa Jackson and his 30 year old wife, Mary, are charged with 2 counts of child endangerment.

The children were released to the custody of the grandmother who was riding in the back of the truck. The Department of Children's Services has been notified.

The truck was towed because out of all the people not arrested, only the grandmother had a valid driver's license and she didn't want to drive the truck.

The problem in Florida is, yankees keep moving down here. If all the yankees would GTFO, Florida would be a great place again.

My cousin used to have a truck with the bumper sticker "Leaving Florida? Take a friend"

Any story with the phrase "at the Wal-mart" in it is usually good.

thing is - they were from steubenville. which is basically part of west virginia. right across the river. so all the people from WV who were sick of the "how do we know the toothbrush was invented in west virginia? because if it were invented anywhere else it would be a teethbrush" joke moved across the river. thus creating stupidville so they could say "i'm from ohio"

please do not lump those of us from the northeast corner of the state with the rest of it. we would secede if we could, because with the exception of toledo, the rest of the state is all west pennsyltucky to us.

As somebody that finished high school in the Mid-Ohio valley area after growing up in Ft Worth Texas, I can verify the WV jokes are appropriate to the region.

There's a serious paradigm shift when you go southeast of the Cleveland-Akron-Canton axis (and let's be fair, it's all going to be effectively one city in a decade or so). Some fine roads southeast, but it's a different part of the country.

I knew I wasn't in Kansas anymore, so to speak, when I was buying consumables at a convenience store and the cashier asked me if I wanted a sack.

Next time anybody asks where I attended high school, I'm going with "West Pennsyltucky"

I didn't think there were any other people in Fla than yankees ... are you saying that there actually are some native Floridians hidden away down there somewhere ?

I grew up in Florida, it has plenty of home grown hillbillies. The yanks only serve to dilute the natural funk of the state.

I just put my ohio state plate back on the front of my car, just to annoy the locals.

I live close enough to poopshovel that I could make a late night attack and fill his yard with ohio state buckey flags

Ohio's seat belt law used to exempt back seat passengers. I was under the understanding this exists so one can legally ride in the back of a pickup truck. No idea if this is still on the books, if it is, other than the alleged beatings, sitting on furniture sounds legal.

Steubenville once had a wonderful Jaguar museum.

Wonder if it was the steubenville walmart.

Ohio has some screwy stuff, so does PA. Grass is always greener I suppose.
