I was turned on to these guys a couple of days ago and just can't get enough of everything they do.

A lot of original stuff, but some of their covers are just outstanding!!

Case in point: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmWIxnVBU7w&feature=related

Yes. I regularly comb youtube for good covers. I find quite a few. Usually acoustic. Easier with one person.

That makes me think of Even In Blackouts covering Screeching Weasel...

Good music is all over the place--it's just underground at this point. Mainstream rock is dead, dead, dead. The lowest common denominator won.

For some awesome indie covers, check out The AV Club Undercover series. It's on its third year and it's an amazing time waster. David posted Gwar's cover of Kansas "Wayward Son" from that series a little while ago.

I swear to berkeleying god, I'll pistol-whip the next motherberkeleyer who improperly uses the phrase "case in point." And yeah, that sucked almost as bad as the original, which I guess means it doesn't suck quite as bad as it could have. Congratulations, anus bro-hams.
