I hate Google Instant. I went to Search Settings, checked "Do Not Use Google Instant" and then Save Preferences, yet Instant continues to be enabled.

Try again? Make sure you have cookies enabled and try again? It just worked for me.

I didn't care for Google instant either. I guess I like my Google the old fashioned way like grits, none of this new-fangled instant stuff for me.
