Has anyone found a way to stop those annoying Google+ robocalls telling me to press 1 to update my company information and 5 minutes later giving me the option to press 2 or is it 3, wait, it could be 9 to remove my name from the list.

Of course pressing the number ensures they have a valid phone number so they can call you even more.

I've tried blocking the number, but apparently they have a randomizer that changes the phone number displayed as well as the city and I now have a list of over 100 blocked phone numbers.

It's gotten so bad I no longer even use Google as my search engine. I never want to hear the word Google again.

I'm already 99.9% sure this is a scam and not related to Google.

That doesn't surprise me.

I thought spoofing your caller ID or not identifying themselves as telemarketers was illegal?

But how do you report them if you don't know who's calling?

Surprisingly, the solution to your problem may be .. Google!

If you set up Google Voice to handle and route your incoming calls you can apply all sorts of handy filters that will eliminate robo-calls and even unwanted human calls.

I have all those filters and more on my VOIP system but the random phone number generation their system does defeats the filters.

It's illegal as E36 M3, doesn't mean you can't do it.

You can report the numbers they're calling from and the time of the call, that will at least help the telcos trace the calls, but other people are doing it, it's just a matter of law enforcement shutting these bastards down now.

and that's not anywhere near the top of their priority list

I tried to place the calls on the reject list ... but Charter phone only allows something like 10 or 12 on the list .... it only took about a month to fill that up .. and it was the same robo calls just using different #'s ... so I just gave up, and now just hang up .. nothing else to do really

so is going over the posted speed limit.. even 1 MPH. so is a crapton of things people do. illegal doesn't mean impossible, nor does it even mean anyone will get caught.
