Already playing it, noticed I'm competing against Chimpwithwheels for some license tests...
The game looks stunning for a PS3 title and I like the new menu along with a lot of the other changes. The AI cars FINALLY don't choo-choo around the entire track as a group anymore either. Not a fan of being forced to get a Fit as the first car though.
Who else is on? Well worth it, IMO.
Meaningful improvements in feedback/physics?
I keep not playing GT5 because it's not that rewarding, and halfheartedly contemplating iRacing, though my desktop is probably too old and I'm not ready to bugger with building a new one just now...
I don't think I've even played GT5 enough to luck into a Premium car so I could try the cockpit view...
Seems like a pretty big improvement to me. I have a Fanatec GT3 wheel and the driving model feels much more realistic than the old one. I bought a year of iRacing and tried really hard to get into it, but it is a very difficult game to sit down, play and have fun. GT6 is much better in that respect.

When I checked no names came up, is there no world leaderboard?
Seems pretty good to me. I have the same complaint with having to choose the fit. I was racing one of the challenges and the other cars like to hit you causing you to fail the challenge. Other than that I love it.
Looking through some of the cars I'm a little mad that they have an e90 330i, but not e9x 335i. I just wanna be able to drive my car!!
I feel your pain, they have like 6 RX8's but no R3? The most race-y one? c'mon.

Glad to see there's some competition heating up! I've started the B-level Mission Races...getting gold on some of these is a nightmare!
is there a leaderboard for those? It's too bad there's no messege board/chat feature like in the GT5 community thing

There are! and you can size it up 1 or 2 inches from stock!

GT4 had a great wheel selection. Especially the used wheels bin. That was cool.
for some reason I don't remember the used wheels bin. I must not have been very observant.
It was kind of like the used car bin on GT5, but it was all wheels. It refreshed every time you went into it.
GT6 looks like it has about 70+ wheels in three different sizes. I did not look at them carefully, but there appears to be some funky ones. I spotted some full on wire wheels!
There are a few that are only available in certain sizes. So far, I have not found a Minilite-style wheel...
But, maybe they are car-specific too?
