Newport Car Museum, actually in Portsmouth, RI. Great place. That Cobra Daytona Coupe is a reproduction (early Superperformance I was told by the owner when I asked), not an original. Simeone does have one of the original six. But this one is a very good reproduction. All the details are vintage, from the tarnished aluminum trim to the faded plexiglass, and the holes where the wind wings once were. Here's a partial pic of the Ford/Shelby exhibit. If you're ever in Southern New England (SoNE ), stop by this fantastic car palace, as well as the Audrain Museum on Bellevue Ave. in downtown Newport, about five miles away.
Flames always create an interesting picture. But you just can't randomly shoot. I took a dozen shots to get this one. I probably could have done better. But I can see various images in this, most notably a blond woman's face in the flames. She's sort of smiling. I didn't plan it.
Dinner in Putnam, CT, tonight. Saw this huge cumulonimbus cloud on the way home. Annie took this pic as we were heading east on Rte. 101 in North Scituate, RI:
Also heading east on RI Rte. 14 crossing the Scituate Reservoir:
That storm would have been somewhere over southeastern MA. I wonder how the weather was in Boston tonight?
With reference to the previous post, we wanted to see the sunset, so we reversed course. This is heading west on RI Rte. 12 going over the dam of the Scituate Reservoir:
I give credit to Annie for the pics.
Saturday sunrise from Bristol Speedway parking lot. Just a fun juxtaposition of the pastoral and mechanical..
Took a trip to the NYC area around the 4th of July. It's a long story that I'm not happy about but only one roll of film was developed properly (this is my own fault, I do my own development). At least some of my favorite shots were on this one.
