Meh. Phone would not focus right.
Here’s a photo from the DeLand farmers market. I want to say I shot this at like f/2 to give it all that depth of field.
Thursday night special at Valley CC: full rack, fries, cole slaw, corn bread, sweet corn and watermelon for $22. What inflation?
I’ve been doing some backyard still lifes lately–partly for fun, partly to A/B some camera settings. Figure it’s something to do while the dog is sunning herself.
Another photo from last week’s shoot. This is again right out of the camera.
Another backyard still life. They don’t get a ton of likes on Instagram, but I enjoy them.
Yeah, I'm an idiot. I broke the rules on my last submission, thinking it was the cell phone pics thread and dumped a crapload of pics. Whoops...
So yeah, ONE pic. And this is one of my favorite shots I think Ive ever snapped.
Just happened to be in the right place at the right time. I was taking pics of this car, and the kid appeared out of nowhere with the surfboard at the optimal angle. Might have to frame this one.
In reply to Tony Sestito :
That is a cool shot, Tony.
There’s a place near where I’ll photograph some our weekly press cars. I know that the light and background will work.
There’s a walking path just behind the car.
Recently, I got a photo like that with someone walking past the car. The timing was perfect.
As I left, though, a whole class of school kids walked down that same path, everyone in brightly colored clothes. That would have looked cool, but I was just leaving the parking lot as I noticed them....
Sometimes you get lucky on timing, sometimes you don’t.
In reply to David S. Wallens :
The lighting wasn't optimal; it was about 10AM and the sun was really bright. But still, it was damn near perfect. I took some pics without the kid, and while good, the surfboard pic just does it for me. There's also this shot with a guy on the beach in the background that kinda looks like a little man on the hood!
From a recent shoot: Hathim.
From Friday’s shoot: Hannah in DeLand.
It figures that the volunteer sunflowers growing in the backyard, having been "planted" by a bird via seeds from plants grown in the front of the house year, are ahead of the sunflowers I planted this year.
Took this with my Kalt 28mm f2.8, which seems to be extremely rare in Pentax K-mount, and probably made between 1975 and 1980. It's not a very good lens but it can be made to do interesting things.
The wheel is the ever-fashionable Momo Prototipo. The Hello Kitty horn button is an (old) eBay find.
Chad’s squareback.
I took this at a recent event. I was borrowing an older camera with a kit lens and these panning shots were the only way I could justify my presence there in the company of new bodied, 300mm red ring L lenses.
The crisp Porsche seems almost as if it were poorly photoshopped in.
In reply to P3PPY :
What was your shutter speed on the Porsche shot you posted? I've been trying to work on that sort of effect.
