Me, too. We both love the image. It’s warm, it’s honest.
We spent most of yesterday taking photos–and, oddly, ran into the guy who fixes my gear.

I like that it doesn't look staged. It's a record of a split second in the real world, not necessarily what the subject or the photog was expecting, but real nonetheless.
I wish I had your eye and dedication to the hobby. I appreciate you sharing it with us beyond what is necessary for the job.

Bette and I have been discussing that shoot for a while. We’ve both been real busy the past month.
Going in, I knew what I wanted. I purposely sat so the grill would be in the background.
I had my camera on the table while eating. While her wife was paying the bill, I said, Time for a photo?
She made a funny face (the first shot) before giving me that look.

All the while, I’m watching the employees behind her. I liked what I saw, people were waiting for a table, and her partner returned.
