Garage still life.
Another photo of my friend Hathim. Someone else was setting up a shot–hence the light box–but I saw something that I liked. Fujifilm X-Pro3 with a 50.
From a recent photo walk, and looking forward to the next one. This is Reformed Day Shots with my Canon A-1.
I was able to take a little time today and explore a bit. This is near Tacoma. The PNW is my most favorite place in the entire world.
Kinda reminds me of a Memorex ad. The singer is Anique Jolee, and I made this in DeLand, Florida, with my A-1 and some trusty Tri-X.
No, this isn't drone photography. The old Erie Railroad Dunkirk Branch passed overhead here and was abandoned over 40 years ago. I hiked 800ft along the abandoned roadbed, in waist-deep snow to get this show of the New York & Lake Erie's Christmas train passing underneath. As an added bonus, NY&LE reached out to me and asked if they could use it for their Facebook profile pic. https://www.facebook.com/@wnytrainrides I regret not trying to parlay usage of it into a cab ride.
So, a little behind the scenes: When I have a roll with like one or two more images, I’ll finish it in the garage so I can get it processed. Tri-X and a dusty car.
You know, I probably should share my photos more often.
How about a random pick from the 2024 Rolex 24?
Speaking of still life, I posted this earlier in its own thread, but I truly like the arrangement of semi-finished model parts.
I feel like I need to to get another box and paint it up as the inside of an old shop.
Last week’s 52Frames assignment: wabi-sabi.
*Stronkway*. A test shot from my second Praktica MTL3 and Pentacon 50/1.8 which is RAZOR sharp with the Vivitar 285 flash. This particular negative is actually my goto for setting focus in my camera scanning setup.
Shot on FomaPan 100 and developed in Ilford DD-X, no stop bath, just two 30-second rinses. Scanned with my Canon R5 and Minolta MD 50/3.5 Macro and Minolta Bellows I with slide copy attachement.
