The King of Heaven from Bleach (at least not seen or heard in the anime, dunno if it happens later in the manga). Not sure how important this character really is, but just seeing him inspired big baddie Aizen to turn evil, and Urahara apparently knows what he was talking about.
HAL from 2001 doesn't count. You see HAL's interface all the time, you see HAL's guts at the end, what more do you want?

Those colored lights colored lights are counters of how many people are in each of the age categories. I just watched the movie the other day. I suppose that the computer very well may be housed in that room though. Funny thing about that movie is that they never reveal who is behind the scenes running things. The TV show version had a group of old guys that ran things IIRC. I just got the movie and complete TV series on DVD last week. Don't ask why.
