i think the green camaro is friggin' hawt. i was told it's a limited-edition color, but had not heard that it's tied only to the v6.

I don't have much of an opinion on that green color one way or the other. My issue is with the new Camaro.

I have issues with the new Camaro, as well.
But, a neighbor has a new V6 model and I heard him go WOT when leaving our subdivision. The exhaust sound (very nice, BTW) made me reconsider - a bit.
That green leaves me a tad conflicted, as in "it looks good on any Camaro but mine".
The Chevy site will let you build a Camaro SS with that color.
I've seen them in person and I really like the color on the car. I don't think the Camaro looks good in normal colors.

I can't argue with the sound or performance. I can only argue with the overgrown toy car styling that looks like a cartoon that came to life.
I like the new green, but if they ever offered the SS in Rallye Green with white stripes, I think I'd have to break down and buy a new car
I've never quite understood why any dealer puts 2 or more cars that look VERY similar next to each other on their lots. I mean, a car...for most folks, says "I'm an individualist". When you know, before you even sign on the dotted line that 2 more people in your area have the same car....well, it would have to be a VERY special car and/or color.
When Ford introduced the Edge, ALL their dealers had a few of those copper/orange ones that were in the ads. Tho I must admit, I haven't seen any in a long while.
I've noticed that I like certain colors for certain reasons.
Copper/Bronze - In the first set of hot wheels I ever got, there was a copper colored Cougar. When I was 16 I bought a Corvette Bronze '68 Camaro, and I've always liked that color since.
Gold - I watched Rockford Files. My second car was a dark green '71 Firebird Formula. Not gold. My girlfriend in high school has a gold '78 T/A. For the past 12 years I've owned a Mustang that is Prairie Bronze, but is really gold.
Green - This green in particular. When I was a kid, the teenager up the street from me had a candy apple green '65 Belvedere. It was a gasser for the street. Chrome straight axle, bigs and littles, 426 wedge, and shiny Halibrand 5 spokes. I've wanted for a while to build a replica of that car. He ended up rolling that car (believe it or not, it had kind of a high CG.), and then later got killed in a motorcycle accident. Later I bought a green '68 Camaro SS.
Black - Well, it's just cool.
I guess my point is that some of my preferences in colors as I've gotten older have been shaped by colors from my youth that I didn't necessarily like at the time. The green Camaros I've seen on the road I liked, although I'm not a big fan of the new Camaro in general. That said, if I was buying a new Camaro it wouldn't be that color.
