A bus crashes, everyone aboard is injured, and because of overload at that other crappy hospital, they're all headed to us!
But wait!
The surgeons are shorthanded because there was also a plane crash earlier in the day!
But wait!!
There is a bomb in the hospital that is going to go off in 34 minutes!
But wait!!!
The only doctor that can do this weirdo special procedure has heartburn from Taco Bell!
But wait!!!!
There is a runaway train headed for the hospital that will hit it, probably killing everyone inside in 32 minutes!
But wait!!!!!
Some cute doctor is going to marry/make out with/break up with/maim/yell at this other doctor!
Yeah - this gets really really old, and my wife loves it.
I'll take Scrubs re-runs, thank you.

I've never watched it. I'm embarrassed to say that at the LA Auto Show last year, I noticed a really cute guy at the Mazda display. He smiled and nodded, I nodded back... five minutes later I realize it's Dr. McDreamy, Patrick Dempsey.

I'm about to list all of the good hospital shows of the last 20 years. Get ready, there are a lot of them so it might take a while.

Scrubs and House for me.
This crap is the drama equivalent of the V12 in the Peel we saw a few days ago.
Yeah, I started watching this show way back at it's premiere. I stopped about 6 months later when they got the hospital and ALL the surgeons into these impossible situations. That, and aren't their any folks besides surgeons at this hospital that ever get horney and "do" their co-workers in odd/stupid places?
My ex girlfriend loved that show. I finally sat down to watch an episode with her. It was one were some dude gets shot in the gut with a WWII Bazooka. Yes. Really. My laughing annoyed her enough that I had to leave the room. Haven't looked back.
If medicine were practiced as House does it our population would be half what it is.

I agree. No possible way that he would still have a job, and its doubtful that he wouldn't be in prison. But still a good show.

really? thats my whole impression of our medical system as i have witnessed on several occasions. throw darts(guesses, drugs) at crap until you hit the bullseye or until the other guy gets 301 and the person is headed to the morgue.
Grey's Anatomy is BS. Everyone uses Netter's today.
House fan myself... thankfully wife likes it too. She gets alone time when Greys is on ( AKA, I'm elsewhere)

It may have been me, I get confused for him all the time.
House makes you think: "is this what is really going on when your doctor leaves the room?"
I don't know about prison, but I'm surprised the guy is never sued. Wait, I think he was brought up....once, for mal-practice.
ER was the best hospital series, and I'm talking about the original one with Elliot Gould.
I can't watch anything with Sandra Oh in it.
