Yes, I know there is no GRM App as of yet, but as a hopeless iPhone junkie I was wondering what the GRM App should be. I'm not talking about reading the magazine (though I would) I am talking about an App like a virtual junkyard where you can pull parts with a $2010 budget and build and race a car against other users. What an awesome way to waste time! Or how about a virtual dyno where you enter your make and model, then pick mods to increase HP and lateral Gs? What are your ideas?
+1, and make it for Android users too.
I say you're looking too small scale. Think PC game with online competitions.
I would request one for webOS, but I'm the only guy around with a Palm/HP smart phone. Everyone makes apps for that E36 M3 iPhone.

there is a GRM app its called torque!
I’d want random spectacular failures. During the game a wheel could fall off, rods thrown through the side of the block, drivetrain relocated though the front of the vehicle, random transmission wiring failure results in 180 before end of 1.4 mile, drunk guy on roller blades pulled by mini bike slams into your car... stuff like that.
Third WebOS guy here. Bought it to hold me over until the Evo hit, ended up installing PreWare and liking it enough to keep it for a while.
I think a GRM app would be well outside of the realm of the magazine. Too much time and money to develop it, not enough potential to make money. I wouldn't mind something like you guys are talking about, but you have to think about how money will be made with it. The forum brings current subscribers together, adds editorial content, and brings them new subscribers. A program like this won't bring anyone else together, and it won't bring any new subscribers to the magazine.

there are people here who can build a ten second car from paperclips and track marbles, i refuse to believe there's no one who can build an i phone app... not that i have an i phone thingy, i still use my phone to actually make telephone calls...
